Our Story
Strand Steel and Roofing was started in 2003 to service a need in the disadvantaged communities for affordable roof sheeting.
Many customers complained that they were unable to source thin gauge material at competitive prices. A process was started whereby second hand roof sheeting was sourced and made available for purchasing.
Soon the demand outstripped the supply and an alternative source was sought and found, namely, thin gauge new sheeting bought in in long lengths and then cut to size as per the customers’ requirements.
The material bought in was of the galvanized type and was in two profiles – IBR and corrugated.
